A new RéseauLab prize?!

But yes! It's true! We have planned a new contest for you with a monetary prize available!
We are offering you a Public Outreach Award ! What does that mean?
We are looking for a communication star, capable of explaining his research project in simple terms that are accessible to all. Anyone wishing to try this will have to provide us with a video of maximum one (1) minute and three (3) seconds (and no more!) describing his research project to an audience with no knowledge of his field. Imagine yourself in front of an assembly of elementary school students eager to go eat their lunch.
To register for this competition, simply follow the following criteria:
-
The video must be a maximum of one (1) minute and three (3) seconds.
-
The video should talk about your research project in simple terms that are accessible to the general public.
-
References must appear for at least three (3) seconds at the end of your video.
-
Mention RéseauLab at least once in your video.
-
The deadline to send us your application is August 4 before 11:59 p.m. to the email reseaulab@gmail.com.
-
Your email must contain
-
the video named "FirstName_popularizationRL" (for example: "BoucherClement_popularizationRL")
-
a pdf document with your name, first name, authors, affiliations and summary of your research.
-
-
Be registered and present at the RéseauLab Congress on September 27 & 28, 2024.
-
It is not possible to combine the Public Outreach prize with another oral, poster or flash presentation prize.
-
There is no obligation to physically appear in the video.
How to win the Popularization of the General Public award?
The videos will all be posted on our Instagram @reseaulab one month before the congress. 🏆 Winners:
-
50% of the final score will be based on the number of "likes" under your video posted by RéseauLab.
-
50% will be judged by the RéseauLab committee on compliance with the instructions and the clarity of the popularization.
Only likes on our Instagram page count towards the total. Everyone has the right to share the videos posted, as long as they come from our Instagram page @reseaulab. The winner will be announced on the last day of the conference at the same time as the other prizes.
